Ash wood gives good workability and bending resistance.

Its colors vary from pinkish white to shades of green and does not present particular differences between the heartwood and the sapwood. The rings are particularly accentuated. The typical characteristic of ash wood is its “coloured heart”, with shades ranging from gray to olive green.
